Chris works in emergency response in Liverpool. He often has to go out on night duty and come into contact with the most unpleasant aspects of street life. A demanding schedule, social obligations, chronic sleep deprivation, career dead ends, and a bleak socio-criminal environment all lead to a profound personal crisis and serious interpersonal problems.
